Founded in 1888, Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski (Sofia Uni) is the oldest higher education institution in Bulgaria. It is one of the most renowned centers of science in the Balkan region. While following its academic mission Sofia University makes a significant contribution to the efforts of the national government to take part in the global policies to encourage and promote science and education. Through its scientific expertise, the University plays an active role in preparing and conducting informed policies of national, regional and international significance. In the recent decade Sofia University is the highest ranking Bulgarian HEI and qualifies for the top 300 universities in the World University Rankings of the Times Higher Education (THE) (2017). It is the leading Bulgarian research center in the Humanities and Science. Sofia University is an excelling institution in terms of the number of participants in the students’ and lecturers’ mobility contributing to the implementation of the idea of European space in the domain of university education. There are currently more than 18000 students enrolled in the university’s 16 faculties, covering a wide range studies: natural sciences, humanities and social sciences. About 1500 permanent teaching staff is engaged in training and research activities. Sofia University is currently implementing a number of scientific and educational projects (both as a promoter and partner), spread across its faculties.
University of Plymouth was founded in 1862 with over 160 years of history in education and research. It currently has around 20,000 students, over 2,500 staff, and 150 partnerships with institutions from 26 countries for collaborations in education and research. The University holds European Commission’s Human Resource Excellence in Research Award. The University became the first university in the world to be awarded the Social Enterprise Mark, in recognition of our long-standing support for the sector. The University played a leading role in Plymouth being named as one of the UK’s first social enterprise cities.
The University has three strategic research institutes and over ten research centres, network of business support facilities, including incubation, innovation and science park infrastructure, and Plymouth Social Enterprise Network. The University has a dedicated Research and Innovation Department providing comprehensive support for academics and researchers including intellectual property, knowledge exchange and transfer, commercialising and contract research, research impact, research governance, research ethics, data management, accounting and finance service, library service support, and external relations management.
Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE), established by Royal Decree on April 6, 1913, is an internationally recognized university, deeply committed to European values in education, research, innovation, and societal contributions. Renowned for its academic excellence across disciplines such as business management, cybernetics, marketing, and economics, the University has been awarded a high confidence rating by ARACIS (the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education) following an external evaluation of academic quality. ASE was granted the right to organize doctoral studies and to award the PhD degree in Economics in 1921. Currently, the University offers 10 doctoral programs in the fundamental fields of Economic Sciences and Law. ASE excels in business management research, demonstrated by its Doctoral School of Business Administration II. The core research areas of the doctoral school include artificial intelligence, blockchain and digital economy, innovation and entrepreneurship, energy transition and sustainability, and strategy, defence and intelligence.
Researchers will have access to state-of-the-art facilities like the Google Lab, the Research Centre IDEAS and the Doctoral School AAII. These resources are complemented by ample spaces for training, conferences and workshops. The use of advanced statistical software, including Stata, Python, and R, will further enhance the research capabilities at the University. ASE counts on a large scientific library and other facilities on campus: access to data platforms: ORBIS, Bloomberg Finance, Thomson Reuters Eikon for Students with Datastream, Euromonitor Passport, Statista, CrunchBase Pro; access to bibliometric/ scientometric platforms: SciVal (Elsevier), InCites Benchmarking and Analytics (Clarivate Analytics); access to applications and specialized software packages: SciFlow, Writefull, Matlab, SAS, Nvivo, EViews 13, Stata, free and open-source software Anaconda and RStudio. The university itself is also famous for its membership in such an authoritative scientific group as the European University Association (EUA).
Inspiralba is a social enterprise and charity, established in 2009 with a proven track record in advocacy, support and research in rural social enterprise, employability and participatory leadership. Based in the rural town of Campbeltown, we have an extensive network with rural social enterprises across Scotland. Inspiralba have an office based on Campbeltown, rural Argyll and Bute. Staff office area, dedicated desk space for visiting staff, wifi and meeting room space.

University of Colombo is ranked 1 in Sri Lanka among 17 state universities and is the Sri Lanka’s oldest university. It is a member of the Asian Universities Alliance (AUL), Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), International Association of Universities (IAU) and the Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning (ASAIHL). It operates with 10 faculties including faculties of Management & Finance, Arts, Science, Medicine, Law, Education, Technology and Nursing. It possesses 10 researchers falling within the world’s top 2% of Scientists within a single year 2023.
The University Mohammed V (UM5R) was founded in 1957 as the first university in Morocco and is still the leading university in Morocco. The university plays an important role as a forerunner for developments in the Moroccan academic arena, paving the way for other universities.
École Mohammadia d'Ingénieurs (EMI) is a large engineering school located in Rabat, Morocco. It is affiliated to the Mohammed V University of Rabat and is therefore part of the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation. EMI was founded in 1959 by the King Mohammed V as Morocco's first polytechnic. It's the largest institution of higher education in technology and one of the leading technical schools in Morocco.
UM5R did build up a leading entrepreneurship centre and will bring its knowledge in this field into H2-Markets project. In October 2017, the University Mohammed V initiated, together with 14 partners from Morocco, Tunisia, Belgium, France and Romania, the SALEEM project, an Erasmus+ project which created centers for the support of student entrepreneurship until 2020. The project made it possible to integrate a business creation project into the university curriculum. The DAAD project ADENIN with the university of Cologne did build on the results of the SALEEM project to establish co-incubator structures between the start-up centers in Cologne and Rabat until 2023.
UEB was established following Decision No. 290/QD-TTg signed by the Prime Minister on March 6th, 2007. It has undergone historical transformation periods and originated from the Faculty of Political Economy, University of Hanoi in 1974. Throughout its establishment and development, UEB has continuously improved the quality of training, scientific research, and other services to achieve the goal of becoming an applied research-oriented university and providing high-quality human resources in the fields of economics, management, and business administration. UEB is known as a university with a rich history, tradition, vision, and determination to strive towards world-class quality and level. At present, UEB is a pioneer in converting training programs from standard systems to high quality systems and designing training programs according to technical and economic norms, meeting the increasing requirements of university training. The university has pioneered the conversion of 06 high quality training programs under Circular 23 to determining tuition fees based on technical and economic norms, creating 01 new interdisciplinary training program (Economics and Management) according to technical and economic norms. Currently, UEB is delivering 08 bachelor's level training programs (06 full-time and 02 affiliated training programs), 10 master's level training programs, and 05 doctoral level training programs. At the same time, to implement the funding autonomy mechanism for some training programs, UEB opened the Master’s Program in the Management of Financial Institutions, the Master’s Program in Public Management (affiliated with Uppsala University – Sweden, degree awarded by VNU) and others.
UEB is aiming for quality accreditation according to ACBSP standards in the coming period in accordance to its development strategy towards education internationalization and international economic integration. Training programs accredited according to ACBSP standards will help the university improve its training quality, affirm its position in the higher education system, and fulfill its commitments to society in constantly improving the training quality to meet the changing needs of society. UEB planned to have 06 training programs accredited according to ABCSP standards (USA). So far, UEB has 06 undergraduate training programs accredited and granted certificates of compliance, including 02 programs accredited by AUN-QA, 04 programs by the Ministry of Education and Training.
Soka University, established in 1971 in Tokyo, was designated by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology as one of the top 20 universities in Japan “leading the globalization of Japanese society”. It is an active participant of the UN Academic Impact Initiative. Its unique educational philosophy contributes to five Asian countries with secondary education schools.
The Faculty of Business Administration and The Graduate School of Economics will be the unit representing the Soka University in the action through its cross-sectoral research and international postgraduates.
Soka maintains several research centres, related to SYNTACT project such as Community and Industry-Academia Collaboration Center and Peace Research Center. Soka University has access to various databases and information related to employment and quality of life, including energy consumption patterns. One research fellow (with or without teaching responsibility) might be accepted through the application in the previous academic year by the governing body.
